Our competition winner is over the moon with her dream bathroom makeover!

Back in January we were delighted to team up with Matt Cooper’s The Last Word on Today FM for our €5,000 bathroom makeover competition – here’s how the story ended for our lucky winner…

Winning a bathroom makeover was a dream come through for Fionnuala. After our initial consultation it was clear that Fionnuala liked the minimalist aesthetic, removing her old bath and replacing it with a new shower enclosure was to be one of the main features. Floor to wall tiling for easy maintenance and lots of storage was also on the wish list. Following through to achieve the minimalist look meant changing the WC to fully shrouded. Hiding all waste pipes and removing the window sill and wood panelling along with using chrome tile trims created a cleaner finish. Replacing the radiator with a stylish anthracite towel warmer completed the look while maintaining enough heat to keep the bathroom cosy.

Finally, with two teenagers in the house, introducing some Bluetooth technology, by way of an LED mirror with built-in speakers was indeed a big hit.

Working with our competition winner was an absolute pleasure for the team and our relationship with Fionnuala developed in the weeks before, during and after installation. We caught up with the family last week and by all accounts – their dream bathroom is perfect!
